Our team brings together a diverse set of skills together with decades of private equity investment experience. The team has 60 cumulative years of board room experience. We are all personally invested in the fund alongside our investors.
Anisha Gordhan (Co-CEO)
Anisha began her career as a management consultant, after completing her Bachelor of Commerce degree, at Deloitte Consulting in the Strategy, Innovation and Operations area. She joined Investec Private Bank in 2006 where she worked as a Business Owner specialising in restructuring and optimising areas in the Private Bank. In 2007, Anisha joined the Investec Private Equity team where she spent 11 years focusing on originating, executing and managing large transactions spanning over various sectors. She served as a non-executive director on the boards of Vox Telecom, the Afrit Group, DCD Group, Calulo Investments, Elgin, Brown and Hamer, Spring Lights Gas, FFS Refiners and other smaller boards of directors. Anisha became a Harvard Business School Alumni after completing the Programme for Leadership Development in 2016/17.
Nick Hudson (Co-CEO)
Nick spent a decade at RMB Ventures, a successful South African private equity house, partnering with owner-managers to produce excellent returns. Prior to RMB, Nick worked at Stern Stewart & Co. in New York City for four years, ultimately heading up its corporate finance practice, and for the Swiss Re group for six years. He is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
Dinilesizwe Geya (“Dini”)
Dinilesizwe (“Dini”) has 14 years experience across leverage finance, mezzanine finance and private equity having spent the first two years after articles at Brait as an investment analyst followed by seven years at Stanlib Credit Partners, three years at Absa as a Vice President in the High Yield and Leveraged Finance team and a further three years in private equity at Senatla Partners and the SA SME fund. Dini holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Financial Accounting) and Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting (PGDA) from the University of Cape Town and completed his CA(SA) through articles at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
After graduating from the University of Cape Town, Bernard immediately started his first business importing and wholesaling refurbished IT equipment. He then completed an MBA from the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business and shortly thereafter accepted a role in the Corporate Finance division of Mazars where he spent five years. In 2011, Bernard started Oakmont Capital, an advisory firm focusing on originating deals for private equity funds.
Mandy completed articles at Investec Bank where she gained exposure to private equity, leverage finance and investor relations spending time in both the South African and UK offices. Post articles, she joined Investec Property to assist in setting up a new team focused on property equity solutions and partnerships to entrepreneurs in the sector. Mandy joined Sana in September 2017 in order to focus on more traditional private equity. She holds a Bachelor of Business Science (Finance & Accounting) as well as a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting (PGDA) from the University of Cape Town and is a CA(SA).
Avram Levy (Non-Executive Chairman)
Avram (Avi) served in the Coopers and Lybrand mergers and acquisitions team in London before returning to South Africa in 1995. He then founded a large micro-finance business that was ultimately sold to African Bank. Avi co-founded Interactive Capital in 2002 with Principal Partners subsequently being founded in June of 2010. Avi has been involved in a number of successful South African and international companies and transactions over a period of about 14 years. He has a Bachelor of Business Science (Finance) degree from the University of Cape Town and obtained his chartered accountancy qualification at Coopers and Lybrand in London in the early 1990’s.
